Waka Hourua Orientation

Turanganui has started the next part of our Early Settlers Inquiry.Experienced based learning takes on on board  the Waka Hourua. Turanganui has been split into 5 groups who are all spending an hour and a half learning about the Waka Hourua. The plan is to first learn safety and basic sailing vocab before having the opportunity to sail themselves on open water. An awesome environment for learning that connects to our inquiry of 'Early Settlers' and many other opportunities that arise. A highlight for me was the teamwork and leadership displayed, and the amount of engagement and enjoyment each and every one of our tamariki had. Thanks to Chris and Emma for your amazing day of teaching and learning.
