Tupapa Heritage Trails

This term Turanganui are learning through experience.
The Tupapa Walkway Sites are the first of many learning opportunities we are experiencing for our Early Settlers Inquiry. On this excursion Turanganui took in the Oneroa Walkway to listen to stories about European arrival, the Tribe's that already called it home and other important historical points in time.
Time was given to create a piece of writing describing the arrival form one of two perspectives, either the Maori witnessing the arrival of the Endeavour into the Bay, or what the European's thoughts were as Young Nick sighted the White Cliffs.
